GTA 6 everything we know fits on one page now, and the list is longer than ever. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, four weeks from today, after Rockstar Games moved it from its earlier May 26 date.
Since then Rockstar has released the launch trailer, revealed the first radio stations and opened pre-orders. Here is every confirmed fact, what is only reported, and what is still a mystery.
When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 comes out on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It unlocks at midnight local time in most countries, so New Zealand starts first at 11:00 UTC on November 18 and the US follows at 12:00 a.m. ET (9:00 p.m. PT on November 18).

How much does GTA 6 cost?
The Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99. In the UK that is £69.99 and £89.99, in the eurozone €79.99 and €99.99.

What do you get for pre-ordering?
Every pre-order and every purchase before November 20 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. It contains retro outfits for Jason and Lucia, a ’55 Vapid Stanier with a garage and a tropical weapon pattern.
Digital pre-orders also get one free month of GTA+. The bigger benefit is the preload, so you can play the second the game unlocks.
Can you preload GTA 6, and how big is it?
Yes. Digital pre-orders can preload from November 12. Rockstar has not published the file size yet, and the store listings should show it around the preload date.

What do we know about the story and the map?
You play as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple in Leonida, Rockstar’s take on Florida. The launch trailer from October 15 shows Lucia calling Jason from prison, Jason talking about leaving the army on bad terms and a vault heist.
Rockstar says Leonida is about twice the size of the GTA 5 map, with six regions from Vice City to Mount Kalaga National Park. Explore them on the interactive GTA 6 map.
What music is in GTA 6?
Rockstar revealed the first six radio stations on October 8, including Flash FM and Cocoteo FM, with hosts such as Bad Bunny and Robyn. For the first time you can also listen to radio and podcasts on foot through your phone.
Justice composed the score, and Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album with 34 original tracks releases on November 19 as well.
How will GTA 6 run on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox?
Preview reports from August say GTA 6 runs at 30 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Rockstar has not promised a 60 FPS mode. The game carries the PS5 Pro Enhanced label, but Sony and Rockstar have not said what the Pro improves.
What age rating does GTA 6 have?
The ESRB rated GTA 6 M for Mature 17+. In Europe a PEGI 18 rating appeared on PEGI’s website on October 3 before it was taken down again, as Video Games Chronicle reported.
What is still unknown?
A few big questions are still open four weeks before launch:
- PC version: not announced. See is GTA 6 coming to PC.
- GTA Online: Rockstar has not confirmed an online mode at launch.
- File size: expected around November 12.
- Review embargo: no date announced.
