GTA Update is an independent fan site about Grand Theft Auto VI. We cover the official news from Rockstar Games, check the leaks and rumors that are worth your time, and build the guides, maps and tools you will want on launch day: November 19, 2026.
Who runs GTA Update
GTA Update is run by James Lindberg, editor-in-chief, from the Netherlands. James is a GTA fan who started the site to give players one place where every GTA 6 story is checked, dated and sourced. He sets the editorial rules, oversees everything that is published and is responsible for corrections. You can reach him at info@gta-update.com.
What we promise
- Official first. Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive and the platform stores are our primary sources.
- Every rumor gets a label. Leaks are marked as confirmed, likely, unverified or false, with a link to where they came from.
- We correct in public. Mistakes are fixed fast and logged on our corrections page.
- No clickbait. Headlines say what the article says.
- Transparent about tools. We use AI tools to help research and draft, and a human editor is accountable for everything we publish. Read how in our editorial policy.
How the site is funded
GTA Update is free to read. We may earn money from advertising and from affiliate links, such as the Amazon pre-order buttons on our price page. As an Amazon Associate, GTA Update earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links never decide what we write or which edition we recommend.
Not affiliated with Rockstar Games
GTA Update is an unofficial fan site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto, GTA and related logos and artwork are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Official artwork is used for news reporting and commentary and is credited to Rockstar Games.
